Daily Writing Tips (Website Review)
Hello everyone!
Are you aspiring writers who would like a constant feed of new tips and tricks on a daily basis? Do you constantly need to go looking for writing how to’s, grammar talk, and articals from a writer’s point of view? Dailywritingtips.com has articals about grammar, writing styles, how to’s, as well as articals about life as a writer. This website is one of my go to places when I am uninspired and I need a pick me up. It doesn’t always have content that is relivant to my need, but it does have a nice archive, the people are good writers, and the links will take me to places that I do need to be.
Go ahead and have a read. Its well worth it.
My Life on the Web – The Places that I tend to hang out.
I decied that I needed to detail some of my favorite places to be online. It is nice for people who are looking for me to be able to find me in the several areas that I hang out, and it gives everyone that I like a free plug. Plus, it gives me a way to lazily link to everything that I do. This website is slowly going to be converted to my main website, and I am going to be transfing items from other places over here. It just takes time, energy and effort to get it all done.
Now, I have already posted about my favorite mud. It’s , Malevolenceand that post can be found here.
My Livejournal can be found at the link in this sentance.
Dracoandginny.com is my very favorite Harry Potter site, with Draco/Ginny being my drug o’choice. A Defination of Fanfiction can be found here.
I also spend time reading fanfiction at Twisting the Hellmouth.com a fansite that caters to Buffy the Vampire Slayer Fanfiction.
The history of Draco and Ginny in the Harry Potter universe can be found here.
I read my news at Fosters.com, wmur.com and msnbc.com.
I spend time at other websites like craigslist, and majorgeeks.com. The rest of the time is random webserfing, writing, gaming and chatting.
I lead a fairly busy life both online and off. Eventually everything will be landing here so that it will all be at one centeral location.
New to the world of writing? Try Newbie-writers.com. (Another writer website review)
I started out this blog with the intent on reviewing lots of DIFFERENT things, and to use it as a place for me to practice writing, and create a place on the web.
It seems that what I review most is writing websites. The thing of it is, that there are so many ways to break into the industry I feel that it is probably useful for people to have a place to go to for links on writing sites. If that is the way my website turns out – hey thats ok. I think I’ll follow up on this thought on a different post, but for now, I present the review.
Newbie-writers.com is a website that is geared towards exactly what it says – newbie writers. You see, everyone has to start somewhere! The website contains articles by various people about writing, and the craft of writing. I particularly like the fact that it acknowledges that not everyone is going to be a good writer at first, but that if you take time to learn the craft, and connect with the writing world, and if you practice writing, you will get better. For instance – I know that the sentance I just wrote was a long run on, but I also know that anything I write a month from now will be much better! *Ok, so that was a bit silly of me, but hey, I worked 3rd last night.*
It is a good starting point, and has a little bit for every beginer.

Today on Oprah
Ok – I’ll admit it. I’m not a huge fan of Oprah. I don’t watch her every day, and as a matter of fact, I tend to avoid her more often than not. But tonight, as I was struggling to sleep (I work third shift, so yes, it is tonight for me) I happened to glance at the show. And the topic was riviting. It was all about learning to love yourself, and learning to appreciate what you were given. Oprah talked about her struggles with her weight, and what had become the most important thing in the world to her – giving herself balance. I was hooked, and I want all of you to know that if you never watch her, and you avoid her like I do – this is the ONE show to watch. Today’s show is it. You can still catch it on Oprah.com.
I can’t believe that I’m endorsing Oprah. I am, however, planning on taking away some of her advice. I plan on thinking about what I really want, about my relationship with food, and how I can change things. I need to make goals for 2009 anyhow – and she gave me hope and insperation. Its been a long time since I’ve been truly excited about an idea, so I encourage all of you to take part – watch the Monday show from this week, and be inspired to go out and decide what you really want.
Review of a Website About Writing – Writing-world.com
Hi, Its me again, with another review regarding a writing website.
I seem to be making a habit of this – but there are so many good writing websites out there that I hate for you aspiring writers to miss them!
As an aspiring writer I spend many hours searching the web for tips and tricks, and discussions on how to improve my writing skills. I have learned a lot, and I eventually learned how to tell what was just kind of garbage from true gems on the web.
Writing-world.com is one of these true gems. I have spent hours reading all the information that I have found there, and I still go back to read both new and old material. They have everything from interviews with Authors (some that I absolutly love) to how to’s, to tips on breaking into the industry. Writing world is a must read for people who want to be writers. Their articals have taught me quite a bit, and I feel that every newbie writer out there can use some of the great advice that is found on their website.
Review – Freelance Writing Jobs -> one of my favorite websites to read.
I’m hooked. Addicted to reading about the life and times of a freelance writing mom. She’s funny, creative, and has great advice. She’s made me think about venturing into the world of freelance writing, and what that venture would entail. I have a love of words and writing, and she has shown me a creative outlet that I didn’t know existed. The website I am talking about is freelance writing, and the person who runs it is a woman named Deborah. Her website contains detailed explination of how to get freelancing jobs, and her committment to creating a community of freelancers is amazing. If you like writing, and are interested in learning how to make a living at it online, this website is for you!
